Diabeter App

Diabeter offers a dedicated app for people with type 1 diabetes — the Diabeter App.

Good to know:

If you are receiving treatment at Diabeter, you will see your own data here, such as glucose levels, lab results, body measurements, appointments, and advice from your healthcare provider.

What you'll find in the Diabeter App

With the Diabeter app, you quickly gain insight into the data Diabeter has about you. When you open the app, you’ll see the most important information:

  • The heatmap: This is an overview of your glucose values over time. Each glucose reading is color-coded to indicate its level. Blue means a low glucose value. Green is within the target range. Yellow, orange, and red indicate higher glucose values.
  • Your estimated HbA1c: This estimate is based on glucose readings from the past 21 days.
  • Your most recently measured HbA1c
  • Your lab results
  • Other health data: For example, your blood pressure, height, and weight.

Advice in the App

The Diabeter app also displays advice from your healthcare provider. There are two types of advice:

  • Personal advice about your diabetes. For example, the type of insulin you use and the agreed dosage for each moment.
  • General advice based on glucose values. For every possible glucose level, the app describes what action is recommended.

Scheduled appointments

All your upcoming appointments at Diabeter are listed in the app — for example, visits with your diabetes nurse or doctor. The app clearly shows the time and location where you’re expected.

The Diabeter app displays the official start time of each appointment. In some cases, you may be asked to arrive earlier — typically 15 minutes in advance — for tasks like measuring your HbA1c. You’ll always receive this earlier time via email or SMS.

Installing the App

The Diabeter app is available in the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. The full name of the app is: Diabeter – type 1 diabetes.

If you are receiving treatment at Diabeter, you will receive an invitation to use the app. This invitation includes a user guide with step-by-step instructions for installing the App.
